The Product Development Department at Jeppesen Göteborg is looking for a Software Engineer for Process Consulting

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Process Consultant to hold responsibility for the institutionalisation of best practise within Jeppesen Technology Services. The position will promote and support the effective use of repeatable processes, methods and best practices.

This role is about physically leading our software engineering team to the next level of their adoption of the Jeppesen Unified Process (based on RUP and PMI Methodologies). With critical project phases on the horizon and a new global n-tier enterprise product going to market in the next few years, this promises to be an exciting role. It requires someone with solid experience of software development process, and its continuous improvement. You must be able to show examples of previous success in this area. Good social skills and excellent influential and persuasive capabilities are key. You will be working with teams of 80+ engineers.

The successful candidate will lead, consult and coach in common processes for software development and project management. You will direct activities to define, deploy, evaluate, measure and support common software development standards. You will monitor industry trends; gather information from recognized best practice; advise on deployment and implementation improvements; roll out common practices; train and coach and direct activities to educate and promote use of JTS common processes & methodologies (Jeppesen Unified Process) and set benchmark to measure improvements.

The position will lead the review and evaluation of new technology and tools for software process impact. It will support and integrate architecture mapping to common processes. The position has the full support of the JTS Leadership Team.
