Summary:

Analyzes aerial and satellite remote sensing images to extract vertical obstacle data for use by National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:  

• Analyzes aerial and satellite remote sensing images to extract vertical obstacle data for use by NGA.
• Receives technical direction, training and guidance from Sr. Vertical Obstacle Analysts  and Supervisor as required
• Performs other related duties, including special projects as required

Education/Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Geography or other related field of study. 
• One (1) or more years of related and equivalent experience.
• Previous work in aerial photo/satellite image interpretation.
• Strong background in mathematics is a plus.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Demonstrated knowledge of Remote Sensing and GIS techniques.  
• Demonstrated knowledge of popular remote sensing and imagery interpretation software. Demonstrated proficiency using ISO documentation and procedures.
• Strong knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS, ERDAS Imagine, or ENVI software suites is preferred.
• Ability to work in a high performance team environment.
